Island H2O Water Park at Margaritaville Resort
3230 Inspiration Drive, Kissimmee, FL 34747
One of the most budget-friendly water parks in Orlando is Island H2O, located just outside Walt Disney World at Margaritaville Resort. The park features thrilling water slides, splash zones, a lazy river, a wave pool, and an adults-only pool, all with a fun social media theme. The Private Domain pool is open to visitors age 21 and up, with tons of vibrant blue lounge chairs and private cabanas.
Sip on a cold margarita and relax as the beachy music washes over you.
There is plenty of seating with shade on one side of the pool. And the other side is ready for those wanting to worship the sun. Perhaps best of all it is completely fenced in, and a dedicated lifeguard watches over the domain.
And now you can relax with a great book in hand and a drink in the other. Island H2O Water Park has now made it possible for guests to enjoy a curated collection of books in partnership with the Osceola Library System, becoming the only water park in Central Florida to offer its own Little Free Library. Park goers can now pick up a book in the wave pool area, which will house the park’s literary treasures.

More Pools with an Adult Vibe
These swanky pools are open to guests of all ages, but they have an upscale vibe and luxurious amenities that are perfect for your next poolside escape. Upgrade your day with poolside drink service, a cabana rental, or an indulgent spa treatment. Not all of these are pools near Disney, but the relaxing atmosphere each one offers is not to be missed.
Waldorf Astoria Orlando
14200 Bonnet Creek Resort Ln, Orlando, FL 32821
This tranquil spa resort is tucked away in the luxurious enclave of Bonnet Creek, just a mile away from bustling Disney Springs, making it some of the closest pools near Disney. Two beautiful pools and a jacuzzi await, with panoramic views of the resort’s lush championship golf course.
Cool off in the serene zero-entry pool, which has plenty of lounge seating and a poolside attendant to see to your every need. Dine al fresco at the poolside restaurant, or have champagne, cocktails, and breezy summer fare delivered directly to your lounge chairs.
For an extra-memorable day out, splurge on a private cabana and unwind beneath the palm trees at the luxurious cabana pool, where you likely won’t see as many kids. Cabana rentals include complimentary soft drinks, water, and a fruit platter, plus poolside service, comfortable lounge furniture, and a high-definition TV.
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando
5601 Universal Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819
Escape to the scenic shores of the Italian Riviera at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando. The hotel is part of a theme park complex, so there are bound to be some kids around, but in my experience, most families flock to the fun, interactive beach pool. The Villa pool offers a more adult experience, with beautiful cypress and palm trees, comfortable lounge chairs, a hot tub with elegant fountains, and shaded cabana rentals.
The Villa pool feels like a true Mediterranean escape, and it’s located next to the Mandara Spa, if you want to treat your love to a signature spa treatment.
If total privacy is what you’re after, try the Hillside Pool, tucked along a quiet walking path with very little foot traffic.

You’re likely to find kids in both pools, but the casual-upscale beach vibes and proximity to several fine dining locations make this a great spot to settle in for a poolside date day.
Get there early to snag a shaded daybed for a little extra privacy, and snuggle up with a cocktail or local craft beer from the pool bar.

This boutique Winter Park hotel has a beautiful heated rooftop pool just steps from some of the city’s best restaurants, bars and museums. Relax poolside with a glass of wine as palm trees sway gently overhead. Hyatt Regency Orlando
9801 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819
We love the grotto styler pool at Hyatt Regency Orlando – but it is usually full of activity and energetic kids. For a quieter spot, head to the 4th floor Terrace Pool, open as early as 7am until 11pm. There is a small Kiddie Shallow Pool on this level, but this area is much quieter than the Grotto Pool.
We also love this hotel for the day access with spa services that include use of the relaxation room, steam room, heated indoor Whirlpool, outdoor serenity pools and full-service hair salon.
