Home Improvement actor Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested once again, with police records noting that the 42-year-old was charged over the weekend for alleged contempt of court and an alleged felony DUI.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s records, the actor was taken into custody Saturday in La Quinta, Calif., and was transported to the John Benoit Detention Center. His bail was set at $50,000 and $15,000 for the felony DUI charge and the misdemeanor contempt of court charge, respectively.
Bryan was released later Saturday, and is due in court on April 23 at the Indio Larson Justice Center.
EW has reached out to a representative for Bryan for comment. EW attempted to reach the La Quinta Police Department, though an automated message indicated that the office was closed for Presidents’ Day.
Saturday’s arrest marks the latest in a recent line of legal troubles for the actor, who pleaded guilty to felony assault in the fourth degree and was sentenced to seven days in jail — which his attorney said he already served at that point — in October.
Bryan was arrested in July following police response to an alleged physical conflict in Eugene, Ore. He was booked on multiple charges, though he was later released.
The performer, who portrayed Tim Allen’s eldest son, Brad Taylor, on Home Improvement, was previously arrested in 2020 for assault against his ex-girlfriend, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, before pleading guilty to misdemeanors for menacing and assault.
“At the end of the day, [the police] throw a bunch of counts at you because they ultimately want you to plead to something,” he later told The Hollywood Reporter of his 2020 arrest. “I could’ve fought it, but that’s more stress and drama. I got two misdemeanors and called it a day.”
