A home has gone on the market in Georgia boasting three bedrooms and five bathrooms—and a phallic-shaped swimming pool.
The sprawling family home situated in Atlanta is listed for $1,050,000, and is described as “move in” ready, according to its Zillow listing.
The description raves about its features, claiming the elegant home boasts a: “Dramatic 2-story foyer leads to living room with fireplace and kitchen with breakfast area, island, beautiful cherry cabinets, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances.”
The amenities at 161 Peachtree Way goes on, as the listing continues: “Doors from the kitchen and living room lead to the heated pool and spa.”
But house hunters were quick to spot something unusual about the pool, in that it’s in the shape of a male appendage.
Luckily, the listing confirms: “The backyard is completely fenced-in.”
Snaps of the home were shared to Instagram’s last week, run by Samir, with the poster including aerial shots of the backyard.
“This $1,050,000 Atlanta, GA home comes with a very interesting pool,” he captioned the post, liked more than 40,000 times.
He joked: “All it needs is a fountain at the end to complete the design.”
The home was built in 1991, but it’s not clear whether the pool was a later addition.
Numerous people commented on the shape, as Miabertani asked: “I wanna know why no one caught this before they built it.” Micheledwilkins quipped: “Seems like a pretty cocky post.”
Emilyummmily thought: “Gives new meaning to the term ‘Adult Swim’.”
Hen_and_hive joked: “They claim that it’s 8′ deep, but I’m sure it’s only 6.”
Although Books_and_snacks wrote: “It’s just a rocket ship. Gosh.”
While Chonchmobile added: “I’d take the gorgeous house with a phallic pool for $1 mil any day.”
The listing highlighted the home’s other features, including a two-car garage and en-suite bathrooms, as the website assured: “This home has been meticulously maintained by the current owners and has new carpet, new paint and new hardwoods!”
But it seems the pool wasn’t enough to put everyone off the home, which also comes with a wine cellar, as Zillow stated it was currently under contract.
Bonneau Ansley, of Ansley Real Estate, listed the home and told Newsweek: “I found that pool size matters with this home receiving multiple offers in its first 48 hours on the market.”
According to Zillow, the typical cost of a home in the Peach State is currently $287,458.
“This value is seasonally adjusted and only includes the middle price tier of homes. Georgia home values have gone up 25.9 percent over the past year,” Zillow said.
Last January it was $287,000, while in January 2020 that figure was $208,000.
